Ceasefire Oregon seeks marketing volunteers in wake of Bend shooting

Ceasefire Oregon is a long-standing non-profit that works on multiple fronts to reduce gun violence in Oregon. They are an affiliate of States United to Prevent Gun Violence. Ceasefire Oregon is one of the reasons Oregon is ranked as having some of the safest gun laws in America.

Despite those protections, last week there was another tragic school shooting in Bend, Oregon. There is still much to be determined about the exact nature of that traumatic event. As more facts become known, Ceasefire Oregon is looking to galvanize renewed determination to address the epidemic of American gun violence.

Ceasefire Oregon is looking for marketing volunteers of all types, with whatever bandwidth they can spare, to work on a host of initiatives in response to the shooting. In addition, they have some novel campaigns in development related to firearm lead poisoning and a local response to the recent Supreme Court Woolford ruling authorizing guns on private property without prior consent. A few images from that work in progress are below.

If you are interested in getting involved, please reach out to me or to Penny Okamoto, Ceasefire Oregon's Executive Director, through ceasefireoregon.org.

Thank you!

Folders on his desk read "Profits > Lives," "Ignore evidence," "Sell the fantasy" and "Policy by slogan."
